Cormier didn't break anything. Cormier took some time off, and allowed Barnett to face Mir before his next fight, and that may have disrupted the tide.
We will see if Cormier comes in chubby and sickly against 'Shad and gets KO'd in the first after chugging around a few half circles.
Brock did the same thing that Cormier did. He got sick, Carwin got injured, and during the absence, Mir went on to fight Carwin who recovered before Brock did.
Carwin was punished for defeating Mir, by losing to Brock, who then lost to Cain. So, the curse may have appeared to skip a cycle, but it self-corrected in the end.
How is that for a penalty from the gods for cheating a divine curse?
Edit: Carwin went on to get JDS'd and Brock went on to get 'Reemed. Now, THAT is divine punishment for insolence against the Mir Curse God.
Genki Sudo: Best fighter ever.
Roy Nelson needs to incorporate the Springboard Moonsault off the cage. That would improve his game greatly.
