I think that Floyd makes these fights look so easy at times, that we forget how dangerous most of these fighters really are.
I agree, shot may have been too strong a description. Needless to say he was well past his prime days, despite the beating he gave to Margarito. Oh, and Margarito was far from Shane's best career win.

That distinction probably goes to the prime De La Hoya Mosley outpointed in their first encounter.

As for Ortiz, I personally never thought much of him. His win over Berto was decent enough, but Berto is no Floyd Mayweather.

Not to shit on Floyd's resume, but it could be stronger. There were a few key opponents for him to strengthen his legacy against over the years, but he chose the path of least resistance.

Or you could look at the fact that entry level pay has trebled in the last 8 years, and realise that what you wrote is wrong. Fighter pay is dfinitely on the way up. It isn't where I think it ought to be, but it's definitely improving.

funny that floyd was scared of maidana's gloves the last day or so

and making other money-when he's not fighting floyd drops huge bank at the sportsbooks here in vegas-lvh, downtown, and on the strip
he also spends a lot of money on attorneys to defend the lawsuits in clark county
