Yeah, this was surprising. Diaz managed to escape with too much damage in first few rounds & then began stuffing takedowns. That must have been the EXACT plan, but he couldnt capitalize. Said he felt flat post fight

Someone should create a thread on "The Average UFC Fight in Terms of Entertainment" and then discuss on some fights that are considered average and then use that as the yardstick for all future fights. This would easily end these types of discussions quickly. You say boring, I say compared to the "average fight" and provide reference. You watch the two fights and compare. Debate settled. It's really easy to compare two fights on which is more exciting. It's hard to judge entertainment based on feel alone. Ex. watching your favorite fighter's worst fight vs watching the best fight of someone you don't like.

Great point, still subjective, but then again anything concerning entertainment always will be to some degree.

I thought Condit vs. GSP was definitely a more entertaining fight!

Diaz vs. GSP was a yawn-fest compared to Condit vs. Hendricks

No one who watches MMA expects anything different from a GSP fight. He will have the same plan the next title fight, mark my words. It seems you guys tend to forget even GSP's corner was encouraging him to take diaz on the ground, telling him "DO NOT STAND WITH DIAZ". It happened with the last two diaz fights, his opposition talk up their fight, saying it'll be a "war" or they'll lay a "beating" but that's never the case. They always take the point way to win. That said diaz did perform like shit, but at least he comes to fight, not to score points and that's why that "Uneducated, disrespectful fool" as you guys like to call him has a following. Diaz needs to seriously evolve his other parts of his arsenal though.
