weidman is a terrible ppv draw, belfort/machida = more money
yeah. I can't really see how Weidman would do anything to compensate for the lack of PPV stars. Anderson is the biggest now that GSP is gone (for however long that may be). It's simply better for their biggest draw to also be champion.
Moreover, I hate to denigrate Chris in this way because he does seem like a truly humble and respectful man, but acting the same way he would around his family, etc. in every interview just isn't good for getting one's name out there... Mighty Mouse has the same issue; great
