Bobby Green upside
I feel Bobby Green is being underestimated in his fight with Jacob Volkmann. He's a +190 underdog while Volkmann is a -280 favorite. Hes looked better with every fight and is on a four fight win streak. Most of his fights in Strikeforce were also on short notice. Now that he's had a full training camp I feel he's going to get in the octagon and show everybody he's the real deal.

Must admit that I have not seen Bobby Green compete. But I believe that Volkmann is one of the, if not the, most underrated fighters in the UFC.
Had he not got "caught" against Sass, Volkmann would be 6-0 at Lightweight. As it is, he is 5-1.

I doubt it. Bobby Green is athletic as hell, but he has shown next to no fight IQ and fights recklessly. He is like a lesser version of Melvin Guillard (future match-up?). He is an easy match up for Jacob Volkmann.
Volkmann is going to wreck Bobby. Either by submission or lopsided decision.

Ok man, this argument flies with Sonnen-Silva 1, but Volkman wasn't exactly close to winning or anything.

He's definitely similar to Guillard that's for sure. I don't think he's an easy match up for Volkmann though. I'm just feeling like he can get the upset victory. Maybe it's because I haven't been very impressed with Volkmann's performances.

If he can somehow keep it standing, he can definitely win....but Volkmann is a beastly grappler. He has outgrappled (and in some cases manhandled) some very good wrestlers/grapplers.
Bobby, like Melvin, always has that puncher's/kicker's chance, but I don't see him stopping the takedowns of a wrestler of Jacob's caliber.

Had Shane Roller not been "caught" by Volkmann then Volkmann wouldn't have any finishes in almost four years.

Volkman is a tough fight and gets no attention....I enjoy greens style, alittle reckless like some said, but he is someone who could put on fun fights and keep some of the tufers and lowers tier guys busy

Used to train with Bobby. This is definitely a very tough style match up for him, but he has the talent to pull it off. Hope he get's it done, GOGO BOBBY!
