Don't blame Gus, blame the UFC for constantly rewarding the fighter with the biggest mouth, gaining the most attention regardless of being deserving. The landscape is littered with fighters who get fights that they shouldn't but do only because they run their mouths.

The UFC rewards big mouths. Best thing Gus can do is keep talking.

That rolling eyes icon looks very ironic considering what you said was dumb as fuck.

Yes, I do watch MMA. Davis had not been performing.

Kudos to you for being super-awesome at looking up fight records on Wikipedia, though.

Sherdog has fight records as well fyi

How had Davis not been performing? He's 9-2-1 in the UFC, most of his opponents accomplished absolutely nothing against him, the only fights he really looked overmatched in were the fights against Rashad and Rumble. He not only was performing at a very high level, he was widely being considered for a title shot with a win over AJ or a title eliminator bout with DC. Thus your argument that he wasn't performing seems to be based on nothing but your own skewed perspective. Winning is winning even if you're not entertained, he was on the short list of contenders, he was dominated by AJ and now Johnson has taken his place. It's not like Rumble moved in front of Gus or DC but he's the only one anywhere close to them presently. I think Gus should have to fight Anthony for top contender status instead of sitting out for well over a year.

Actually, he has a point.

The UFC acted like the fight at the press conference was a big deal that wouldn't be tolerated and that there would be repercussions. So, if that's true take DC's title shot away to make a point. Instead, they are letting DC keep the title shot entirely because of that event.

Of course, the UFC is full of shit and they could give a fuck about that press conference scuffle being bad for the sport and all that. They loved it. Which is fined. Just don't put out press releases saying you condemn it and will be reprimanding the parties involved when you have absolutely no intention of doing so.
