So legit that they're going to brazil multiple times this year yet cut 1 of the most popular brazil fighters (did you hear the reaction he got?). So legit that they cut "boring" fighters and top 5 fighters. So legit that Dana's still talking about Tito Ortiz years after it matter. So legit that Dana White can't finish a sentence without the word F*** than wonders why people think it's a bloodsport or WWE. So legit that....
You get the point!
Any MMA organization to have a championship belt should have a tournment to determine the first champion.
The Lineal World Heavyweight Championship is the only legit heavyweight title in MMA.
Yeah, yeah. It will help even more if they make rules against hitting downed and often defenseless fighters. They should allow the refs to give standing 8 counts as well. I mean all the rules is why boxing continues to thrive everywhere while MMA is dying.
If they cared about the sport, Fitch and Okami would still have a job in the UFC. A sport is emphatically not what the UFC is. (And there are many, many more cases which they ignore, because it serves their interests. Because they don't care. Because they can.)
Cut Vitor Belfort for continuous blows to the back of an opponents head, cut Jon Jones for eyepokes, cut Frank Mir for breaking opponents limbs, etc. Be consistent.
Unfortunately, this is another one of Dana White's emotional irrational rants. But, I've come to get used to it. Unfortunately.
Its just another dumb rash decision by Dana White based on his emotions
Bullcrap. Palhares had his chances.
If this signifies an increasing focus on fighter safety by the UFC then I'm all for it. There are many ways fighters can be injured, we don't need guys trying to do additional damage just to prove how hard they are.
