#2 Joe B - Already lost twice to DJ and only has one win since being KO'd
#3 Dodson - Injured until 2015 but was the most viable contender
#4 Bagautinov - Just got demolished by DJ and also tested positive for PED's
#5 Ian McCall - Already lost twice to DJ, is booked to fight Pickett and only has one win so far in the UFC
#6 Makovsky - Actually a fresh and viable contender but is already booked to face Formiga
#7 Formiga - Only on a 1 fight winning streak that came from a controversial finish
#8 Lineker - Was on a good streak but failed to make weight several times and was most recently derailed by Bagautinov
#9 Moraga - Already finished by DJ recently and coming off a KO by Dodson
#10 Horiguchi - Coming off 2 wins but only one was at FLW not really a viable contender
Cariaso is actually in the UFC top 10 rankings, the rankings above are from Sherdog where Cariaso is listed as a 'contender'. Either way the only other option other than Cariaso is Makovsky and in my opinion neither fighter is more deserving than the other so I don't mind either way.
So would you rather the UFC keeps the champion inactive waiting for a contender that you give them your blessing on or would you like to see the champion actually fight unlike the majority of the current UFC champions.
I rarely comment on shit like this but you guys will fucking complain about anything and you are going well beyond that and just being ridiculously dramatic over the situation. I mean seriously we have so many useless title fight rematches in the divisions where the champions are active and every other division has the champion on the shelf from injuries and we are complaining now about a fresh face fighting for the title when there really are no other viable options? Come the fuck on.
Does anyone care to tell me which fighter deserves this title shot more than Cariaso? And don't bring up either Lineker or McCall since they won their last fights after this title fight between DJ and Cariaso was made. Plus giving McCall another shot right now doesn't make sense anyways.
