What I am against, is these older fighters who are in their 30s and 40s taking it so they can "keep up" with the younger fighter because: 1) Their body naturally slows production of testosterone as they age or 2) At some point in their life they abused steroids, and need TRT to kickstart their bodies into producing testosterone again. If either one of those is the case, then they simply need to get out of the fight game if they can't make it on their own steam so to speak.

He also said this during the post press conference:
Quote:
"I don't know enough about it because everybody that we talk to about it – you can talk to four of the smartest, most educated, rational people about it, and they'll be split on what the answers are," White said. "Then you start talking about ratios and testosterone-to-epitestosterone. What? This is too complicated. This is bulls---. All these little goofy loopholes. I don't like it.
"Listen, I'm no f---ing scientist, man, and every time we try and talk abut this stuff, I sit there and my head just spins, and I say this is bulls---," White said. "If it's this f---ing complicated and this many people don't understand it, it can't be good. It can't be good.

It is extremely rare to be in need of TRT before the age of ~45-50. Last I checked the only fighter even close to that age is Hendo, and being from the 90s he probably juiced quite a bit back in the day. Obviously if you need a prescription for it and can't just buy Testosterone it is something to be strictly monitored not given out to your favorite fighter.

Yeah, you're right. Comments like that wont make people hopeful. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

i agree with you by an large however it does cross my mind if a guy is low in testosterone maybe cage fighting isn't the career path for him?
and if trt is ok for a 28 year old who's dream is to fight in a cage why is it not ok for a 34 year old in the same boat?
