lol what. landed more kicks than he ever has before in his last fight after a two year layoff. physically, alves is still all there and i would take him over a few top ten guys (woodley, brown, saffedine, maia). it's his questionable fight iq that has cost him (story, kampmann) in the past. hopefully the layoff has done him some good in that regard.

What fight were you watching? Plus he hasn't fought in two years before the Baczynski fight.

trying to matchup fighters from the same gyms now? I would much rather see Hector Lombard vs Lawler than Pitbull Alves.

Don't they train together at ATT?

And to answer your question TS, Lawler would KO him.

I think you need to re-watch that fight sir.

Granted he took a few shots and was marked up a bit, but Baczynski was marked up alot more!

For sure.

Based on Lawler's stance, I think Alves would be very successful with low kicks. Not saying Alves would win, but it's not crazy to believe he could. Alves is always game, he could give anybody in the division a run for their money.

I was thinking about this as well. Could be amazing. But Robbie' countering is so good lately I think he'd pick him apart.
