There's not really a difference. But when people love to hate on Aldo, they always call that "finish" a fluke. I do think Woodley's win should be acknowledge as an injury win, but it's still a win. The loser in an injury TKO is almost always the fans because we don't get to see the fight play out.

Momentum was shifting in Zombies favor as well, or so many thought.

Reality is, both Aldo and Woodley dominated their fight up until the injury. Neither injury occured within a minute like in Dong Hyum Kim vs. Demian Maia, so there was a pretty good indication of who the better fighter was that night.

Zombie's shoulder dislocation was a fluke... That doesn't take away from Aldo's performance.

Woodley was more directly the cause of Condit being unable to continue than Aldo was KZ. So it's actually a more legit win than a win few really questioned at the time.

Aldo proved over 4 rounds the TKZ had nothing for him either grappling or standing.
Once again Aldo lost round 3...

I had Aldo 10-9 for the third, maybe a rewatch is needed but I don't recall anyone suggesting KZ had won a round yet after the fight.

The tide did seem to be turning, totally agree with that, and the final rounds would have been interesting, much like Condit Woodley, but as I recall Condit nor KZ has actually won a round.

I guess the difference was that Aldo was the favorite and was higher ranked than KZ.
