Dana White's WW champion is the 2nd biggest PPV draw in UFC history, behind Lesnar. Do you really expect White to be unhappy with that?

Boring and exciting is subjective. Though a lot of folks find GSP's style boring, enough find it interesting that he outdraws people who his critics find more exciting. Ultimately, the biggest test for "exciting" is being able to get people to see you fight. And GSP seems to be very exciting by that standard.

Seriously, does anyone really think the UFC is going to cut someone consistently bringing in 700,000+ PPV sales per fight?

Fitch more often then not just holds on for dear life and stifles any actual action.
come on man you're just hating the guy on that last part. i don't understand how you can completely back up GSP but shit on Fitch when they both game plan similarly. Like posted above, GSP is just better at doing what Fitch tries to do. Fitch went for broke in the last round against BJ and got FotN against Eric Silva, yet somehow he's way more boring than GSP?

Oh how we wish the Matt Hume "Open Guard" rule could be implemented.

Dana is a fight fan, first and foremost, and I respect him for that, at least we have something in common. The current rules and scoring in place are the furthest thing from perfect, in fact, they are the complete opposite. It makes guys like Fitch (top heavy wrestlers) seem better than they appear, because these rules favors the crap out of guys like him. The sooner we acknowledge it, the sooner we can do something to change it. But that's where the problem lies, we CAN'T do anything about it, neither can the UFC. The judges/referees are never held accountable for their mistakes, meaning, they are allowed to make as many mistakes as they want and will still be able to keep their jobs. This is NOT how fighting was meant to be, whoever came up with the "Unified Rules" really dropped the ball and didn't think things through beforehand. Now, we are left with these permanent rules/judging that have endless holes in them and countless flaws where more and more fighters are finding ways to exploit these loopholes.

Surprised you'd say this, since DW seems to be a huge GSP nuthugger....
