I'm not convinced Mir would get out of the first round against a 205lbs Jones in a real fight, but that's just me.

lmfao.....can anyone imagine what a 250 pound Gonzaga would do to Jones....

Let alone someone like JDS or Cain.

I hope he does move up to HW. I'd like to see him get knocked on his ass.

If Rashad, Lyoto, and even Gus at points were having trouble landing on Jones and are much faster and more technically skilled than the majority of HWs, what makes you think HWs would automatically be able to land on Jones? Both Gus and Jones would do well at HW with their reach, speed, movement and general skill. The belief that Jones is just size and reach somehow still persists but no-one can account for the fact he STILL adapted to and beat an outstanding and equally sized fighter in Gus and the failure of other fighters with similar attributes to capitalise on them. Jones has an extremely good clinch and wrestling game which will only be bolstered by the increase in weight. His ground game is phenomenal and I don't see why far less mobile and crafty HWs (bar Werdum, perhaps) would be any more immune to his hellbows when they're on their backs. Mark my words, he will be a LOT quicker in the striking and will have no trouble keeping the more lumbering HWs at bay with dat snide Winklejohn repertoire. There is no doubt in my mind he will be a top 5 HW if and when he decides to move up. Cain would definitely be a tremendous challenge for him, though, as would JDS.

Bukowski82: Uh, no. How about America did it fucking perfectly again, as usual.

Cain and most other HWs fight at their natural weight without cutting.
