. You really expect them to make freaking TV deals? All they do is waste money holding tournaments around the world, they had no successful business plan or marketing outside Japan and S.Korea.
The WGP format would have stagnated irrespective of whether it was big in North America or not; but the question becomes had they become big in America would they have adopted the Boxing/UFC model of singles-match events and championships in multiple weight-divisions? Now that could have made K-1 freaking huge!!... UFC gave up its tournaments, maybe K-1 would have too (tournaments aren't a problem, i love 'em, its the behemoth that is the WGP that is, however).
