Pretty much, Weidman was clearly in control for almost all of the fight but didn't look nearly as sharp standing as we've seen since with allowed Maia to survive standing with him.

I would say that this fight was actually somehow good representation of Weidman's toughness and knack on getting the job done - against all odds.

But yeah, awful fight as far as pure MMA goes.

yep, it wasn't a good indicator of neither fighter's skills. Both gassed and looked sluggish, which made it a close, shitty fight which Chris gutted out.

Not a good fight, but pretty even. Takedowns won Weidman the fight.
