It's really strange. The event was billed UFC Fight Night: Leben vs Silva, but the Goulet/Cummo fight was the final fight of the night. I bet it had something to do with TV time.

That happend "a lot" back in those days, and with "a lot" I mean a few times, that fights got bumped behind the main fight due to time, or lack thereof.

Inexperience and bad planning, probably.

First UFC Fight Night was main evented by Nate Marquardt vs. Ivan Salaverry.

Was a pretty shit fight too.

Saffedine wasin't known enough to headline a UFC show in his debut; it's not like he was Luke Rockhold or something. Jake Ellenberger was the most recognizable fighter on that card, and he got replaced by a unknown. Nate Marquardt and James Te Huna were bigger names.
