Nerves are huge - even seasoned vets and ex champs like Arlovski will suffer it, and after being away from such a huge stage for so long especially. I don't think too much is made of jitters at all.

It's weird. I remember the crowd in almost everyone of my fights. Sometimes I'll have a surreal moments where I look at someone while I'm transitioning or punching my opponent in the face.

Nerves can come from anything. The crowd, your opponent the fact that you need a paycheck and can't afford to lose.

If you haven't been in there than you will never know.

This is also probably his last shot, that on top of regular nerves is some insane pressure. He's also been known to be pretty emotional before and after his fights.

Same can be said for any fighter, will they win or lose, get cut, get hurt, if they get hurt how long and of course that's how they pay bills, all those eyes on you as your walking out, there's a lot to fighting.

Rob Font, during his post-fight interview with Rogan after KO'ing George Roop, claimed, "octagonal jitters are a lie."

Can't say.

Different athletes respond to pressure differently.

His reaction may have been genuine excitement and energy from performing on such a big stage.
