The UFC's HoF will always be a joke, as long as certain fighters are not eligible to be in it, because of Dana White's personal feelings towards them.

F.Shamrock, Militich, and so on. At one point White publicly stated that Tank Abbott will be in it, then Tank said some bad things about the UFC and that was the end of him being in the HoF.

Why? It makes perfect sense. It's the UFC Hall of Fame, not the MMA hall of fame.

If you didn't roll over to Dana's beat, chances are you won't be in the UFC HOF. Nothing wrong with that, Frank Mir is an MMA Legend and doesn't need to be placed next to the likes of Bonnar and Mask to get validation.

Bonnar and Mask aren't MMA legends, but they are UFC pioneers. Hence they are in the UFC hall of fame, they'll never be in any other MMA hall of fame ever.

I don't see a big deal here. If Dana hadn't inducted Ken and Randy already, they'd never get in either. Didn't he recently remove Randy from the opening montage? hah.

The "UFC Hall of Fame" has meant nothing since they added that guy from Tapout, let alone Forrest Griffin or Stephan Bonnar.

They got it right with Coleman, Couture, Gracie, Hughes, Liddell, Ortiz, Severn, Shamrock though. Those are the kind of names I think of when I hear "UFC Hall of Fame". Just my opinion.

Keep in mind that the football and baseball HOFs have writers who vote and there are defined requirements on % needed to make the cut. It's subjective, but generally there's a consensus for why a player does or doesn't get voted in.

The UFC HOF is totally subjective. Bonnar is in based on one fight that he lost.

I doubt anyone outside of hardcore fans care about who's in the HOF, so no, I wouldn't view that as a limiting factor in the growth of the sport.

Also, Chael to the HOF.

The HOF isn't all just about fighters or doing well in the sport. It's reserved for people who helped build the brand and make the UFC great. If you base it on that then the people who are in there deserve to be in there. I don't think it should be scrapped.

Also, yeah, Chael should be in there.

UFC HOF is Dana's HOF. If Mask and Bonnar are in there, practically every other UFC guy should be there as well.

Chael needs to be there btw.
