Poirer has never been KO'd and he's faced top-5 guys in KZ and Cub. Both those fights were close as hell, the Cub fight he took on a couple weeks notice and the KZ fight went down as FOTY for many people.
Conor is never going to finish him, he couldn't finish holloway.
Poirer is a smart fighter and has always shown great composure when hurt and his only losses are to fighters who used their grappling to stop his grappling offense. Cub won through top control as did Castillo and KZ controlled the grappling and subbed him.
Conor is essentially a pure striker his ground game leaves much to be desired, he's gonna get taken down sometime in the first round and finished by sub or GNP TKO sometime in the fight. If he's tough he'll lose a decision where Poirer controls almost all the grappling exchanges and holds his own on the feet.
"Top 5 guys.."
Eat some crow (for doubting the GOAT) now!!
