That's actually hard to say.

Weidman is in danger in that Vitor is the most dangerous fighter in MMA.

But Pettis is more likely to get beaten by Gil.

Sure, but this isn't a typical striker vs. grappler matchup. Both guys are well rounded and Pettis has a killer instinct. He finishes most of his opponents in the 1st round. 25 minutes is more than enough time to finish his opponent.

Lol @ Gil out striking Showtime

If Gil is smart, he'll look to take it to the ground, Pettis' stand up is too sharp. And his guard is lethal with slick subs

Weidman by default because he fights more often

edit:

Read just thread title and replied. At 181, i'm going with Pettis, I give Gil a better chance than Vitor

I tend to favor the fighter who's more likely gonna win if it goes the distance, but Pettis has that 1-shot capability more so than other strikers at LW.

I'm leaning towards Pettis because Gil has shown a tendency to trade rather than use his base often. He became a better striker, which often leads to neglecting what got him so far. But Gil has the cardio to push grappling for 25 minutes, so it wouldn't surprise me if he did this and won. What would surprise me is Pettis winning via outgrappling him.
