Truthfully, he's right. As much as people will make fun of him. He said before that fight he wanted an exciting fight regardless of who won. He was a step or two quicker than Cowboy but he threw caution to the wind and made it a slugfest within the first 5 seconds.
If Edson fights safely with speed, range, jabs, and leg kicks, I think he would have had a solid chance of beating him but no one can argue that was never the game-plan. It is just not his style.
