How do you go into a fight and not even throw a strike?
Every one knows his takedowns are not good. But he has EXCELLENT top control and GNP. He uses his wrestling great when the fight hits the mat.
Also, if Machida is blasting you in the ribs with kicks, you are definetly going to feel it. Munoz was trying to back off and find a range he could fight at and the body kicks are what made him so timid on the feet. He didn't have much time to adjust to Lyoto either since Machida blasted him with a couple kicks to the body and then immediately kicked his head off.
Contrary to popular belief, Munoz is NOT a can. He is a good fighter. He's had some very tough matchups lately and that's why he is on a losing streak.
