Yeah, that was my point, the refs don't follow the rule. So either follow the rules, or there's something fundamentally wrong with the rule (as no one's following it).
As for K-1, there's was a one armed clinch rule iirc. Personally, I don't think you should have unlimited clinch, then that becomes too similar to Muay Thai, or can start stalling the fight. They just need to follow the 3-second rule better. Or if the fighter keeps letting go for a second and than doing it over and over again but without any significant action in process, then introduce a warning or yellowcard.
The problem with Glory is that, they have rules that their own officials don't follow. But at the same time, fighters have to pay for their rules. For example, in the last event they had no-standing knockdowns (but the ref gave one anyways/ Ghajji);i think standing KDs are good (if warranted), but in that case get rid of the flash-KD. If you fall you get counted out, and even if you dont fall you still get counted out. Not very consistent logic IMO. If the refs don't consistently follow the rules than why should the fighters be expected to?
