Georges pulled a bad move with the ambiguous 'I'm-retiring-not-really but maybe taking a break.' It made no sense to do that with Rogan and the only possible outcome is the press wanting to follow up.
I give him a pass because Georges has been a consummate professional throughout his career and made a bad decision right after a brutal fight where he took some bad shots to the head.
If he needs a break - which is exactly what is sounds like, for mental health - he should take it. I can't imagine the stress a guy like Georges is under for this many years and unlike his peers he's not married with a family to keep him grounded.
What I sincerely hope though, they immediately put the belt on the line for Hendricks and Lawler. There should be no voluntary sabbatical where you nest on the belt, in particular after a controversial split decision. The division has to move on with or without Georges.
