The science behind beating a UFC whiz quiz. Great video link.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qfxo...e_gdata_player

I think this video is pretty good for explaining how things work scientifically. I know a lot of you Doggers understand this stuff, but I see a lot who don't too. The TRT ban was just the 1st step in cleaning up the sport; better, more comprehensive testing is A MUST.

I've had my Bachelor of Science in Nursing since 1997 and have watched ALL combat sports I'm able to get my hands on since the 1970's, so I've been reading about the science behind PED's for quite some time. I'm not saying I'm a genius in the area, but I feel I have a better understanding of it than most. I hope this helps some people understand the science behind a fairly complex & misunderstood subject.

I realize TRT, steroids, HGH, PED's, etc., have been discussed ad nauseum on Sherdog, BUT I read almost every thread and I have yet to see this specific link shared.

All whitebelts are NOT created equal.

InB4. "Dead horse" comments, "Gaylord Focker" jokes, "White belts should be able to create threads" posts.

That link was horrible.

The presenter makes no attempt to understand why the athletes do it. They do it for millions of dollars (potentially) and fame.

Seriously biased commentary from the science guy.

It's about the SCIENCE behind PED usage. You just explained WHY in 1 sentence. How can explaining science be biased? If you pay attention he explains things pertinent to what's going on in MMA/UFC with people saying, "they'll just beat the tests by cycling HGH stopping when it's test time". Use your imagination a little and apply it to what's going on in the sport you apparently love (2 talk about at least). As it is now, people will cheat. Random, more comprehensive tests (dead horse) are the next steps to fairness.

The dude is kinda annoying, but the info is solid.
