He fought Munoz on the weekend, and didn't get hit once, LITERALLY.
He is 4 from his last 6, one loss to Jones (ie p4p No 1 in the sport) and then lost an extremely controversial decision loss to Davis for which basically every MMA journalist of note scored it machida.
He is ranked 6th in the division.

I don't see how you can be soo surprised he could be 1 win away from a title shot.
