The UFC signs and releases fighters all the time. They'll never have "too many" fighters. If anything, they are having more and more events, and that's why the roster is increasing. Very few guys who have the ability to fight 3 times a year are ever denied that opportunity because there isn't room, lol. Some guys are choosing to fight less often, and others are getting hurt (likely because of industry wide training program problems), but that's why you have these other fighters to step in.
