Shogun with 2005 endless cardio and with Pride rules where he can knee and kick the hell out of wrestlers going for takedowns and even from guard would have been his best chance at beating Jonesóbut particularly in his last fight Jones looked so imposing and strong against a dude like Teixeira, and he's size-wise and athletically he's just on another level from most of the best 205ers ever.

Shogun when he fought Chuck and the first Lyoto fight would be interesting, too. He was deadly quick in those two fights, and used his kicks as well as anyone I can remember at 205. I mean he lunged back and dodged one of Chuck's punches and threw an awesome head kick mid backwards jump. He could have definitely out kickboxed Jones if he could move fast enough to avoid the takedowns. But he probably couldn't, and Jones is just so big and strong, and his wrestling and gnp and even his chin is of such quality, it's not easy to bet against Jones there.
