Jones did not have the oppertunity to be impressive in the stadup, because the elbow caused his opponent to lose his faculties.
Before Jones landed that shot, Machida was slipping out of every clinch situation and resetting, but once Jones clipped him, it showed him down a step or two allowing Jones to work for the td.

Again, MMA isn't pure striking, grappling is involved as well, so Jones performance was very impressive

Machida has terrible defense in the pocket. Jones man handled him after R1.

First round against Jones was about even

Second round Jones dropped Machida with a punch

Jones outstruck Lyoto, get over it.

If Lyotos footwork was as underdeveloped as your reading comprehension, Rampage would have landed a hook like that, and ko'd him (unlike jones).

Its hard to see from this angle.

Heres where Jones dropped Machida by evidently a hook.

Before that something like a meager 8 punches had been thrown by both fighters, after that, thats all she wrote.
