It's a far cry from fixing, but I was told this is fairly common knowledge amongst the well-informed: When a fighter clearly dominates the first two of three rounds there is often a silent, sporting agreement that the guy in the lead will ease off, assuming the trailing fighter makes no attempt to win. Is that the case?

I'm no sniffer of the Reem throne, but I was extremely relieved to see Mir make it to the final horn with the lights on. I hadn't heard this silent-agreement claim at that point. But I was definitely puzzled when Reem deflected criticism for insufficient bloodlust by saying he was wary of Frank's talent for pretending to be hurt before launching a surprise attack. Does Mir have a history of that?

Interesting theory... Who knows.

To win. Or hey, i'll let you sub me in second round. Both bet on 2nd round sub and put life savings on it prolly make 8X bet amount. It's obviously happened many times...
Hmmm interesting, someone do the numbers on this, if we have a mathamatician in the house.

Who? Do you know people who are involved with the UFC? Not trying to be a dick, just asking. I think it's mostly fans who believe the fight was fixed.

I'm don't believe it was fixed, but Goofin's acting when he ate the punch might be an eyebrow raiser for some. It didn't look like he was actually KTFO or totally unable to defend himself. It looked like he gave up, and that would obviously lead to speculation.

The knockdown looked like when a cartoon character hits another, and he falls down in a bizarre, cartoon-like way. Really weird.

Little-known fact: Griffin tested positive for Xanax in his post-fight test.
Might explain why he was so slow and lethargic.
His body was all over the place in that fight.

Never heard of that. Little-known indeed.
