Vitor says he resigned from TRT use, not UFC 173 title fight

http://www.******.co.uk/2014/02/28/v...3-title-fight/

"I never give up the fight at UFC 173 and never said that. … The UFC decided to put another opponent in my place because I didn’t have time to fit the new rules of the NSAC.

According to the UFC, I will face the winner of Weidman vs Lyotto within the new regulations of all the athletic commissions.

I’m sorry that this happened, and I appreciate the strength and understanding of all fans, sponsors, UFC and athletic commissions.

Consider my faith in that institution shattered. What’s left to believe in?” - Vitor Belfort

This whole thing seems weird to me maybe someone can clarify. Does someone with an exemption for trt get to test at a higher level then everyone else? Or can they only use up to that 6:1 (nevada limit) threshold? In Belforts case, if he's got low test, and uses trt to stay around that 6:1 mark he should still be able to test within the limits.

Yes but now TRT is banned so Vitor's levels will be low again. It doesn't make sense because people said it only takes a few days for the levels to become normal pre-TRT, so idk why the UFC canceled his fight when it's in May. Vitor just should have never done steroids in the first place. He has only himself to blame.

As I understood it he might not get caught for high testosterone levels but they're able to test him for synthetic testosterone and that's where they get him..

this

he`ll have to wait for the synth testosterone to go away

afterwards start a new testosterone treatment (secret, illegal and not trackable).

I wonder what his testosterone levels will be when he´s back.

If they are normal, surely he´s cheating, since his body does not produce enough testosterone
