I think if not for Jones Machida would have reached #1.

I would have to place him #3 right now.

Jones
Lidell
Machida.

I definitely would not put Tito ahead of Machida. Wanderlei is very exciting and a leader in the fan favorites list, but Machida is better. Shogun is hit or miss, not consistent enough. Rampage, I will assume that's a joke, and about as crazy as Rampage winning that fight. Even putting Lidell ahead of Machida is very hard to do.

I would love to see that fight. I don't think Chuck has the speed to deal with Machida. I think the fight looks a lot like the Henderson fight. There are fighters who can hang with Machida, the only one who beats him is Jones.

RIGHT. I didn't look @ this as a science.... My opinion sprang from Lyoto's > technical skills including, your lingo, speed, distancing & timing.... Both had equal striking power when Lyoto is on his mark, though I would give Chuck the edge....

Chuck depended an awful lot defensively on typical kickboxer body movement & backing away.... I doubt he could have kept pace with Lyoto's offensive moves, which tactically include his defensive counter game....

I'd put Shogun, Jones, Wanderlei, Chuck, Rampage and perhaps Hendo ahead of him in terms of achievement, Randy didnt spend long enough at LHW to get that high IMHO and Tito fought generally weak competision during his title reign, guys like Rashad and Rogerio should be mentioned before them at 205.

As to who would have/could beat him I'd favour Jones and Gus today plus prime(maybe today aswell) Shogun and Rogerio over Lyoto. Basically guys with powerful, aggresive and reasonabley technical standup plus good chins. Glover might potentially be a danger for him aswell but its really too early to say.

1. The "Black-Belt" has spoken.... I've got dubs....

2. Wonder'Chida could hit harder.... I get props for the moniker....
