Your history is a little incomplete there White Belt.

Weidman was the consensus #1 contender pick, and then Silva said that he wasn't going to fight again until 2013, so Weidman agreed to take another fight since that would mean a layoff of more than six months. Unlike Silva who is super-rich, Weidman probably still has bills to think about paying.

Silva got his title shot with one fight in the UFC. Weidman is 9-0. Whether you want to see it or not is one thing but why wouldn't he deserve a shot?

You implied that Weidman was not #1 contender. Dana said he was. Soares confirmed he turned down the fight.

Plenty of people wanted to see Anderson vs. Jones or GSP and plenty still do. They are not happening. That leaves Anderson to defend his MW title.

Weidman is the best and most logical choice.

Your attempted misdirection is an utter failure.

You whine about people hating on Silva, then make a comment like this..

That was back when the MW division wasnt as stacked and leben was on a 5 fight win streak and got destroyed by silva.

Also you have to take in silvas accomplishments in other orgs as well.

Weidman has 9 fights total with only 2 legit wins. The division is much deeper with more talent now.

In your logic okami shouldve gotten several title shots as he has been hovering top 5 since forever.

Weidman seriously needs at least 1 more top win to get to silva depending on the performance.

Weidman vs lombard/okami/vitor

Plus im almost sure white said the winner of vitor/bisping would get a shot. But dana says a lot of things.

Fair enough. Let Weidman get another win. I just personally can't get pumped for Vitor or Okami again. Hope Bisping wins that fight then.

I'm a fan of Weidman but I want him to at least have one more fight before Anderson. 1. So he can prove he really is the number one contender and 2. So we can see if he's fully healed from his injury.

Last thing I want is for him to lose to Silva and people to have million excuses. I want him to be in the best shape when he faces Silva to better his chances of winning because I do believe he out of anyone has the best style for a guy like Silva.

His trainers and his corner. Not sure how big word he has on his gameplan. Some fighters have big word on it and some fighters rather listen to their coaches without too much discussion. I assume Maia has quite big word in his own gameplanning.
