Legs are about a third of body weight, it matters. A bigger upper body isn't usually much heavier if 2 fighters weigh the same, but that's rather bone structure.
Davis has huge legs and is tall, cuts more weight than Jones, is bigger. Weidman cuts more weight than Anderson. There isn't a huge difference in weight, but Weidman has the bigger frame as Silva could make 168 when he was younger and had less fat & muscle, while I doubt Chris could fight at WW, looked miserable in the recent embedded series.
You start the thread 'Jon Jones is a small LHW based on leg size' and see how that goes.
I acknowledge leg size can very greatly but in terms of 'fight size' I just think leg size has very little to do with defining someone as too big or too small for the division compared to their peers.
