Splitting hair but Cerrone has won post-fight awards in 8 of his UFC fights, not 9. He has 9 because he got two against Guillard.

Not that I needed a list of statistics to get me pumped for this fight.

Also have to love bullshit stats like this:

Why the fuck would you measure takedown defense as a raw value?! Surely you should weight it against their opponent's relative takedown success rate. Oh no, that might actually require thinking.

Surely defending the takedown of someone who is good at securing takedowns should be more valuable than defending a takedown against vagner rocha.
His TDD over his UFC/WEC career is 64.7%, just his UFC career is 92%. No idea what the 87.5% comes from.

If you do weighted averages where all his opponents are rated based on his opponent with the best TD offense and do a product of their rated TD offense and Cerrone's TDD in those fights then you wind up with about 45% for his career in the UFC/WEC and 70% for his UFC/WEC career. Might not be the best way to do it but it's a little less misleading.

This made me laugh, but I know what he was asking. Sometimes a Kimora or ooma plata is used as a sweep more than an actual attempt at a finish. Would those count as submission attempts?

You can argue if Andre would have been the best fighter ever, but you cant argue if he was the best drinker ever.

I would. If you lock it up you can bet the fighter will try to finish with it.
They can also be used to get off the fence and a guillotine can be used to counter a td too. That's the beauty of mixed martial arts. A sub can be used as a defensive maneuver just as much as an offensive tool. Same as a td. Mostly offensive until the fighter is rocked...then a td turns into a technique to save his ass lol

"- Lucas Martins will compete at featherweight for the first time in his UFC tenure and have the chance to join Diego Sanchez, Kenny Florian and George Roop as the only fighters in history to win UFC fights in three different weight classes"

What was the third weigh class George Roop won a fight at in the UFC?
