Who overlooks Anderson's run? He holds nearly every UFC record...

Barao was 31-1, having not lost in 31 straight fights, going into his fight with Dillashaw. He has one bad night and sherdoggers who can't string 31 posts together without failing are talking like the UFC should cut him.

I'm not surprised that after getting finished twice by the "slowest moving champ ever" some people will claim he never really fought anyone.

Oh my bad man! I meant marquardt > mousasi. I think mousasi is the favorite here, but that would be a great fight!

It's okay Claude, we've done this dance plenty of times before and it always ends the same way.

You going off on some wild tangent, full of anger, spewing bullshit and ignoring anything that goes against your argument.
Well of course. If you're getting your ass kicked and then you drop weight and become elite out of nowhere, then surely that division is fit for you.

Belfort fluctuated as well as his cycle regimen allowed it, but even still, Vitor was never able to hang with top HW (look at the terrible Heath Herring decision), nor was he able to deal with the best at LHW.

As soon as he moved down to MW, he was able to run through the #2 guy in Matt Lindland, former champ in Rich Franklin (another LHW who couldn't cut it against mid-top level guys in his prime), and essentially all over guys.

Empricial evidence disproves your assertion.
Good post.

Oh and...

Anderson - Top 5 LHW

Funny how MW s suck when the majority of top 10 MWs during Anderson's era were ranked/champions in other divisions. Also keep in mind Forrest and Horn were also ranked/champions at LHW.

Now let's take a look at this "super stacked" LHW division that is so much better.

Top 10 LHWs during Anderson's Era

Matt Hamill
Luiz Cane
Houston Alexander
Keith Jardine
K Nakamura
Tito Ortiz
Brandon Vera

Not so elite huh?

So what we really have here are the regular Anderson haters trying to revise history and smear the GOAT as if Fedor's opponents can't be completely picked apart in this same manner. It's just one long discrediting and disinformation campaign that's been going on for years.
I've already refuted that post sonny. Did you forget? Here:

Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
You completely ignored something crucial, which basicly puts everything into perspective: timing. You forgot to mention that after Vitor became LHW champion he went 1-4 at LHW in Pride/UFC. Then he droppped to 185 and easily became elite again, and was awarded a title shot having 0 fights at MW in the UFC, and 0 top wins. Take a look at Vitor's last LHW fight before his MW debut; he struggled and was outstruck by a can

You also forgot to mention that after Machida won the belt, he went 3-4. Then he decided to drop to MW. So we have:

Lyoto: 3-4 at LHW before dropping to MW
Bisping: never ranked at LHW- reached #4 at MW
Boetsch: never ranked at LHW- reached #5 at MW
Munoz: never ranked at LHW- reached #3 at MW
Stann: never ranked at LHW- reached top 10 at MW
Sonnen: Briefly ranked #10 at LHW, reached #2 at MW. 1-3 at LHW in the UFC.
Vitor: Went 1-4 at LHW in Pride/UFC. Dropped to MW and became top 10 and elite.

You also have guys like Shogun contemplating a drop to MW after several losses. Furthermore, here' a good example how rankings worked at MW:

Michael Bisping drops to MW and becomes ranked #8 after beating two unranked opponents:

Then gets bumped from #8 to top #4 after a loss.

As it is evident, MW had always been nothing but a nice and warm shelter to fighters who were struggling at 205. Many fighters dropping and reviving their careers, as well as fighters easily becoming top ranked and having short and easy paths to title shots prove so.

And LMAO at mentioning Sonnen's title shot at LHW, completely exposed.

Claude's attempts to discredit Anderson Silva by trashing the entire Middleweight division are pathetic. There's never been a champion in the UFC like Anderson Silva. Anderson Silva ran through a Middleweight division that while not the best had plenty of talent. He also moved up to LHW and destroyed a former LHW champion. He's the best fighter in the history of the UFC and arguably all of MMA.

The best fighter is someone who can adapt on any style. He kicks too good for a Boxer, throws too good for a Karate man, and punches too good for a Judo man. - Bruce Lee
