testing everyone on the card is nice but a waste of resources. the main thing that needs to change is random testing outside of fight dates to prevent guys cycling off.
But then Dana wouldnt have been able to come out and be all sanctimonious and all...

Yeah this. And I'd be more interested if they did random testing during training camp, then I'd be convinced they were actually trying to stamp this out.

Be hard to get the guys that train overseas. The lack of a proper international governing body comes into play there.

True enough, but I know in Australia we have ASADA who test our footballers, cricketers etc, they could easily be contracted to do this. Though maybe the UFC would have to be signed with WADA for this to happen, don't know really how it works.

let me paraphrase -- "We have now expanded our generally ineffective testing to all fighters at a given event"

Not sure that is progress...

But at least the tone of the UFC seems to be changing and starting to take an anti-PED program seriously

That still looks like a UFC press release, should be more like, "After 21 years, PED users in the UFC still have absolutely nothing to fear."

Disgusting how he seems to be genuinely proud of this groundbreaking status quo.
