Personally, I think the sky is the limit for him should he continue to improve his defense.
That being said it will be tough for him to string enough wins together for a title shot because his style is very reckless. While he is very technical, he has made it clear outside the cage, and confirmed in his fights that he is in no way looking to gameplan to win. He shows up to finish every fight and comes forward with reckless abandon.
Does anybody really not think he could have out pointed Cerrone with a better strategy? But instead he went forward and was trying hard to finish and I respect that. At the very least he will be one of the divisions most entertaining fighters.
He has mentioned several times for him it's not about winning or losing he wants a legacy of being exciting and finishing fights.
