Bisping is on the downside of his career. This injury is VERY bad for him, along with the shoulder thing he has/had going on ... I don't think we'll see him before June/July next year.... At which point he'll be 34 and will have been out for 15 months...
If Rockhold has had a fight before then (Which you have to expect he will), He'll be in MUCH better shape and likely re-detach that retina for good measure
Bisping is already 34, he'll turn 35 early next year. Definitely not a good time for him to start racking up injuries. Shitty timing for him too because I really do think he was peaking. And with the way the division is evolving dropping out of the Munoz fight could possibly be the difference between whether or not he ever gets a title shot. I was starting to consider the possibility that they might try to give him one with a win over Munoz if Vitor were to lose to Hendo. There really wouldn't have been many other options. And Bisping would have certainly been the best choice financially.

spot on imho.
the matchup makes sense from all angles. one has to wonder if bisping will even come back to fighting though. it was my understanding that a detached retina is pretty serious even after corrected. isnīt there a risk of permanent blindness?
