Anderson fought through the storm, took Weidman's best punches on the mat and defended two submissions, and got back up to his feet. He had Weidman looking like a deer caught in the headlights, and wasn't getting hurt by Weidman's punches on the feet. He then decides to clown like he never has before, pushing the boundaries as far as possible, and puts himself in the worst possible position to get knocked out. It's really disheartening. He was nailing Weidman with good leg kicks (Weidman himself admitted that he had trouble walking for days after the first fight) and Weidman seemed to be gassing. He was stuffing the takedowns with ease also. He seemed so content to just pot shot Weidman, instead of actually setting anything up. Fuck.
Props to Chris for standing his ground, but if there ever was a time when Anderson Silva underestimated an opponent it was during the first Weidman fight.
