I know all about him being inconsistant and agree that his opponent wasnt any kind of phenom. But he looked like a reinvented fighter. The way he moved, cutt angles, kept his opponent guessing, ect. Just looked great all around imo

People gotta cut some slack when people take fights on late notice.
Then how about not taking the fight if you're unable to make the weight?

These guys want to be high-paid professionals, then they need to start acting like it. Know your body and know its limits.

Not a fan of Means because I don't like seeing 6"2 lightweights. (dont get me started on Roop) When a guy can throw vicious shots from another zip code you pretty much have no recourse but to take him down and wrestlefuck him. He did well though. Great knees.

Yeah, a lot of folks are hesitant to get behind Lawler because of his history, but at the same time, if you have been following him over the last few years, the improvements should be obvious.
Yes, it is premature to book him for a #1 contender fight, but he has obviously found a new level of commitment. His fitness, movement, technicality, and attitude are impressive. His move to ATT is telling too.
It is clear to me that the gut who fought Lorenz Larkin is gone, and it is great to see.

If I recall the fight correctly, the only thing giving Castillo the rounds were the TD's, other then that he was getting put into trouble unable to figure out Means reach.

And I do see a lot of people giving Lawler discredit which is mind blowing since he fucking put away Koscheck, I know Kos isn't a contender like he used to be but his combination of Talents makes him a lot more then a gate-keeper. Lawler's defensive wrestling is what worries me, if I recall Tim Kennedy was able to out wrestle him.

Let's toss in Lawler vs Daley for kicks.
