The article stated that this breakdown was for one single fight, specifically UFC 162 against Roger Gracie. Where he would only make 53% of his purse, or $20,000.
They then extrapolated that amount to figure out his annual income based on those numbers, but Kennedy was only speaking about one specific fight.
