Both Nogs have been doing this a long ass time. Their chronological age AND fight age are high. Damage accumulates. Only guys that still had their nostalgia glasses on thought this was going to be anything BUT exactly what happened. Rumble would have done exactly the same to big Nog last night.

Attrition is the one fight everyone loses.

Rumble is legit top5, scary dude that could beat anyone in the division. And he performed flawlessly.

At the same time, even in a short fight where he got tagged early, it was clear Nog had no strategy at all. Before he ate the first bomb, or after, he was looking for a soft spot to lay down.
Well, there's really not enough difference in our POV's to debate but just because someone else thought his strategy should have been something else doesn't mean he wasn't fighting according to the teams strategy. I think Nog might have underestimated Rumble and it was too late once he realized it.

As to the highlighted part, I don't believe that.

I'm not literally saying he threw the fight. But figuratively, his strategy seemed to make the ending a formality.

I think Lil Nog would win rematch in the same way he won this one.

I'd say possible but not probable. Imo, short fights don't allow for much definitive analysis.

I haven't rewatched the fight but, iirc, Rumble tagged him in the center of the cage 20-30 seconds into the fight and appeared to have stunned him. Then backed him up against the cage and preceded to dissect him for about 15 seconds.

The only definitive things I can claim in that was Rumble has good power in his hands, a good killer instinct and Nog was able to implement a good fight plan in the first 30 seconds. That's about it for me as for significant things to take from that 44 second bout.
