Anyone who doesn't think it was a combination of both is either fucking stupid, bias or more likely a combination of both.

But Silva put his body in that position to avoid Weidman's jab. Weidman used the jab to setup the KO punch.

He was fucking around a shit ton. Most of his movements like that are leg based and he offers offense while doing it, historically. In this fight, he didn't really do shit. He clowned around too much.

That said, Weidman's striking and power finished the fight and his wrestling threat changed Silva's style. It was a combination of both.

Then again, why ask the question and then say people are wrong?

Combination of both obviously. Only an idiot would say otherwise. It was literally right in front of your face.

I'm not saying anybody is wrong, it's my opinion. My post (as the thread title indicates) is in regards to the outcome of the fight, which was a knockout victory for Weidman.

Did Silva clown too much? Yes. But he attempted to avoid the fight ending combination like he would have done in any other instance (he's always rolled with punches). My opinion is that even if Silva was "serious" during the fight Weidman still would have caught him with that left hook. He set it up perfectly with the jab.

But I suppose, if Silva had been "serious" he would have actually punched Weidman in the face a few times and Weidman might not have been as eager to rush in the way he did...
