Pretty sure it's exclusive, and because the UFC doesn't bring in baseball, basketball, or football money.

Saying that this is an increase in average buyrate the last three years is an interesting way to look at the numbers.
My bad 2 years. still they peak of 09/10 was cause of Brock and mma at its peak, it then went back to what it was before that. And they last two years they've done less shows and did a better average.

This year will be bad but just like they did in 2012 after a bad 2011 they can rebound with the right big fights.

The UFC isnt going to get huge ppv buyer numbers every year on just selling their product alone. They will need big names aswell particularly as the UFC`s novelty factor fades.

I use to buy them all now I buy some but will watch others at the bar. I think many are like me in that regard. You just can't buy them all. Also in my area now there are more places that will have the PPVs on then there were back in 09. I've been a fan since the UFC's inception and am still as big a fan as ever. I'm watching in some way all that they have to offer but I'm buying fewer PPVs.

2013: 464,231 (13 PPV)
2014: 293,333 (thus far 3 PPV in)

Assuming a base charge of 50 dollars per PPV, their PPV revenues are as follows:

2014: $43,999,950 (Only 3 PPV in)
2013: $301,750,150
2012: $299,250,250
2011: $326,254,400
2010: $457,500,000
2009: $462,692,250

Things aren't looking too hot for UFC PPV. Not expecting things to look better as the year goes on as top draws GSP and Silva aren't coming back in 2014, and Bones last fight did only 310K buys. Do you guys think the UFC is done, or are we going to enter a PPV free era where everything is on Fox.
You're next asshole!

2008 - 2012 I bought almost every PPV unless it was especially bad or some scheduling difficulty.

I don't by any anymore. The cards are too watered down.

Every fight the ufc produces in a month, at my disposal, at anytime, is worth 80$/month to me. That's what I would pay. Nothing more. If the ufc can't meet that (and I realize theyre nowhere near that number) than ill watch the free stuff and download or ignore the other stuff until I'm not an mma fan anymore. They can lick my balls if they think I'm paying 65$ for 5 mma fights, no matter WHO is fighting.

The UFC is creating multiple streams of revenue which is good, where they used to be only reliant on live gate and PPV. What sucks is the utter shit we get as a PPV sometimes.
