How many people do you think would be willing to take a fight on short notice with someone in a weight class below them, let alone one of the most dangerous and longest-reigning champions in the UFC. That would be like guys like Bisping or Stann taking a short-notice fight with GSP.
edit: The irvin fight was also short notice because it was put together to compete with an Affliction card.
The Forrest one wasn't a short notice one, it wasn't even the headliner (BJ/Florian was).
The Cote fight was supposed to be Okami but he pulled out due to injury (he broke his hand) and Cote stepped up on short notice.
