Munoz is a big draw compared to Kennedy. So when Bisping went out of course they have to appease the paying fans and with both events right next to each other Lyoto was the best option. I don't think it had much to do with shafting the troops but scrambling to find a replacement on Munoz calibre. It's easy for them to find any replacement for Kennedy because now he's expected to win for the troops so why not throw him a mid level fighter on a good run?
I still think Ed Herman should have got his dues, at least against Kennedy if he gets taken down, he could most likely sub him early.
