Gratitude: Matt Serra and Big Dog Almeida talk Renzo Gracie
Almeida's part: "I see Renzo nowadays as an older bother. I went to America when I was 20 and, as a man, one os the best things that can happen to you in life is to have a mentor. WHen we are young, we dont wanna learn, but when you are older you need even more a teacher, a mentor - not to point the finger or tell you what to do, but to lead by example. And, for me, thats what Renzo did. My son is also called Renzo. If I had to pay Renzo for all he did for me and taught me, I'll would have to send one of my kids to him - so I decided to name my older son after him.
