90% of the time, never bet on the fighter who was a bigger **** leading up to the fight(especially if the other doesn't react to his ****ishness beforehand).
Sometimes I wonder what users think before creating threads that have been created a million time in a few days.
I often wonder why users post this type of line just to get their post count up.
I had not read any threads regarding this I watched the fight late loved the ko came on here and posted my thoughts. If it had been done a million times already then Im sorry, but you didnt have to read it did you that was your choice.
I've watched a good portion of his fights, I just don't buy that it was Bigfoot's plan to wait to the 3rd to try and win like a lot of people on here suggest. He won because Overeem was too cocky and tried to always dodge punches with nothing but head movement, while leaving his hands down and his chin out
Overeem/Silva was the HW equivalent of Boetsch/Okami. Silva won as he came into the 3rd round realizing he was down 2 rounds to none and fought like he knew he needed to finish if he wanted to win. He knew he needed to finish and he took advantage of Overeem's cockiness.
If you want to believe that a fighter willingly gave up 2/3 of a fight to let another fighter punch them in the face in the hopes that they can come back and finish in the final frame, then by all means go ahead. I prefer to believe that Silva more likely than not turned up the pace as he knew he was down and needed the finish.
Carwin is much the same as Overeem. If you can get them into the later rounds they become much more manageable then the first round. It's not a secret with guys like that, carrying that much body mass they become tired and gas rather quickly. The strategy with them is always just try and hang on for the initial onslaught and then impose your game plan from there.
