A person who grew up in America is going to be different culturally from a person who grew up in Korea. Like any cultural group there is a bit of a split between people who grew up in Korea and Koreans who grew up outside of Korea. Bendo is half Korean and grew up in the U.S.
Additionally, there is also the fact that people are quite different from each other even after growing up in the same culture.
I was just speculating in a general manner when I said that maybe the fighters fight more recklessly given the tendency for people in Korea to be more emotional. Korean people generally become extremely passionate about things. I wasn't implying that everyone who is Korean is automatically emotional and fiery. Its important to take into account that people are individuals first but , at the same time, cultural influence is impossible to completely deny.
